Earthborn Badges
Badges recognise trust, care, consistency, and community contribution. Some badges are permanent, and some can be revoked.
Tier 1: Certification Badges
The highest trust seal. Earned through consistent quality, compliance, and strong fulfilment.
Criteria
- Active for at least 6 months
- At least 20 completed, non-refunded sales
- 95%+ listing approval rate
- Zero active compliance warnings
- No unresolved moderation issues
- Profile fully completed
- Verified email and phone
- Delivery policy clearly defined
- No more than 1 rejected listing in the last 90 days
- Rating of 4.5+ (once ratings are live)
Revocation / Removal
- 2 compliance strikes within 90 days
- Fraudulent listing activity
- Misleading medical claims
- Account suspension
Requalification
After 90 clean days, the badge can be earned again.
Recognises growers who joined the first cohort and helped launch the network.
Criteria
- Among the first 90 verified Earthborn growers
- At least 1 approved listing
- Profile completed within 30 days
A trust milestone based on consistent approvals and successful sales.
Criteria
- 10 approved listings
- 5 completed sales
- No compliance warnings
- No rejected listings in the last 60 days
Levels
- Level 2: 30 approved listings + 25 sales
- Level 3: 75 approved listings + 75 sales
Revocation / Removal
- Removed if a compliance warning is issued
Tier 2: Trust & Value Badges
For medicinal listings that consistently meet safety and disclaimer requirements.
Criteria
- At least 3 medicinal listings
- Required disclaimers present
- No prohibited medical claims
- No medical-related compliance strikes
Revocation / Removal
- Removed immediately upon a medical policy violation
Shows a strong commitment to organic growing practices and accurate representation.
Criteria
- 80%+ listings marked organic
- Organic status declared in profile
- No validated organic misrepresentation complaint
Revocation / Removal
- Removed after 2 confirmed organic misrepresentation violations
Recognises growers whose orders are mostly fulfilled locally with great delivery feedback.
Criteria
- 70%+ orders delivered within 50km
- Local delivery enabled
- At least 3 positive delivery mentions in reviews
Highlights growers who actively protect pollinators and avoid harmful pesticide use.
Criteria
- Pesticide policy declared
- At least 5 pollinator-support plants OR natural grow methods declared
- No pesticide policy violations
Delivery fee is set to zero within a clearly defined delivery radius.
Criteria
- Delivery fee equals 0 within a defined radius
- Delivery radius clearly defined
Shows that the grower is open to swapping or trading this specific item with others in the marketplace.
Criteria
- Grower enables “Open to swap / trade” on the listing
Tier 3: Milestone Badges
Earned by staying active for a full year with no suspension.
Criteria
- 365 days since registration
- Account not suspended
A major sales milestone for completed, non-refunded orders.
Criteria
- 100 completed, non-refunded orders
Levels
- 500 Sales: sales_500
- 1000 Sales: sales_1000
Rewards consistently compliant listings that pass review without flags or corrections.
Criteria
- 50 listings approved without any flags
- No manual corrections required
- Disclaimers present where required
- No policy violations on those listings
Recognises participation, responsiveness, and contribution to Earthborn initiatives.
Criteria
- Active for 6+ months
- Participated in an Earthborn initiative OR featured in “Meet the Tribe”
- Average response time under 24 hours
Tier 4: Community Moderation Badges
Awarded for consistently helpful, accurate reporting that keeps the marketplace safe.
Criteria
- Level 1: 3 confirmed valid reports + accuracy ≥ 60%
- Level 2: 10 confirmed valid reports + accuracy ≥ 70%
- Level 3: 25 confirmed valid reports + accuracy ≥ 80%
- Accuracy is valid_reports / total_reports (minimum total reports before enforcement = 5)
Revocation / Removal
- Accuracy drops below 50%
- A compliance warning is issued
- Malicious reporting is confirmed
